The hottest new and exotic automobiles will steer towards North Florida when the Jacksonville International Car and Truck Show returns February 18-20, 2011  at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. 

The show highlights 27 vehicle lines all under one roof, with dealer and factory representatives on hand to help compare prices and features and to answer any questions.

While the show offers guests the once-a-year opportunity to shop and compare, the top 10 not-to-miss features include:

1.            Behind the Wheel Adventures. Test drive the latest vehicles from Buick, GMC and Chevrolet.  Guests can even get behind the wheel of the 2011 Camaro.

2.            Ultimate Gaming Area. Kids and kids at heart have their very own “pit stop” inside the Jacksonville International Car and Truck Show that features interactive gaming with wii, XBox 360 and Playstation 3. The gaming action is presented by Game Hype.

3.            Taste the Exotic. Sneak a peek at some of the world’s most luxurious 2011 exotic vehicles including Bentley, Rolls Royce and Lamborghini.

4.            Hook and Ladder. Kids and kids at heart can explore “Gordie” the firetruck on-site at the show.  Gordie will be located outside the show entrance.

5.            Mustang and Corvette Clubs. Fans and collectors of Corvettes (shown Saturday) and Mustangs (shown Sunday) will want to check out these showcases of dozens of vintage to new vehicles on display.

6.            Electric Company.  The biggest story in the industry is the electric car, and participating manufacturers at the show will be unveiling them – including the Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt and Toyota Prius Plug In.

7.            Technology in Motion. The Jacksonville International Car and Truck Show is the place to see the latest trends up close and in person. One of those trends that will be seen at the show are big grilles.  The look is one part silver mesh jewelry, one part metal honeycomb and one part chain-link fence. – guests can check it out on models throughout the show floor.

8.            Trucker for a Day. Ever wondered what it's like to be in the driver's seat of an 18-wheeler?  The Share the Road experience offers you the chance to sit behind the wheel and get a feel for it.  You'll be able to see what they see first hand, so next time you pass one on the highway you can adjust your driving accordingly.

9.            Free Parking. Parking is on the house for guests who use the main Prime Osborn Convention Center parking behind the building. Parking at the show is courtesy of VyStar Credit Union.

10.          Rollover Simulator. The Florida Highway Patrol is bringing its interactive Rollover Simulator to the show to illustrate exactly why they stress the importance of “click it, or ticket”.

Show hours are Friday from noon-9 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.  Admission is $10 for adults; $8 for seniors; $5 for military personnel; $5 for children ages 6-12; and free for children under 6.  Discount coupons for $2 off adult admission are available at participating area Gate gas stations.
