The Honorable Jennifer Carroll, Lieutenant Governor of the State of Florida, will be the speaker for the mid-morning worship service beginning at 11:00 am. Carroll made recent history as the first African American and the first woman elected to this gubernatorial position. She previously served as a state legislator in the Florida House of Representatives for seven years, becoming the first African American female Republican elected in the Florida Legislature’s history. Carroll is also the former Executive Director of Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs and a Navy veteran.

The early morning worship at 8:00 am features the acclaimed Bishop Virgil C. Jones, Sr., as the worship preacher. He is the pastor of Philippian Community Church with a 3,000 member congregation and massive 32-acre campus. Jones has established numerous ministries, developed teaching and training programs and emphasizes discipleship through evangelism.
