Blessing Of Animals Sunday October 2

Blessing Of Animals Sunday October 2

Friendly and well-behaved animals are welcome to come to the outdoor chapel for a short prayer service and blessing of each animal.  This service is held on the Sunday closest to St. Francis’ birthday, as he was a friend to all animals.  Animals that may be nervous or aggressive, or that cannot attend, may be represented by their owner with a photo.  All dogs need to be on leashes, and all other animals need to be in crates or carrying cases.  All animals should have ID on them.  We will take an offering for Heifer Project International, which provides farm animals to families in poor communities.
