Rabies alert in effect for Mandarin until October | News
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A rabies alert has been issued for the Mandarin area by the Duval County Health Department after it was determined a human was exposed to a rabid bat.
The area affected by the alert is bordered by Julington Creek Road at Aladdin Road on the east, Orange Picker Road at Mandarin Road on the west, Loretto Road at San Jose Boulevard to the north and by Julington Creek and the Duval/St. Johns county line to the south, according to a release from Charles Griggs at the health department.
The alert is in effect until October 25.
