Police searching for man who robbed Mandarin CVS

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a mandarin CVS around 7:45 Sunday morning.

Shannon Hartley, Public Information Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, said police responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 9509 San Jose Blvd. to reports of a robbery.

When police arrived they learned the man attempted to buy cigarettes.  Hartley said once the clerk opened the cash register the man ordered him to give him the money from inside the register.

Hartley said the alleged robbery reached into his pocket as if he had a weapon.

After the clerk gave the man the money from the register, Hartley said he fled the area on foot.

Anyone with any information that may be able to help police is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or via email at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
